Intro:
Eduardo Gory Guerrero was born on October 9, 1967 in Mexico. He is the son of wrestler Gory Guerrero. His older brothers Chavo, Hector and Mando Guerrero were also wrestlers. He was trained by his father and made his pro debut in 1987. In the late '90s, he would both team and feud with his nephew Chavo Guerrero Jr. Eddie passed away on October 13, 2005. He is survived by his wife Vickie and three daughters, Shaul (14), Sherilyn (9), & Kaylie Marie (3).

AAA & ECW:
Eddie started his career in Mexico. He got his first taste of International fame at the AAA PPV When Worlds Collide in 1994. Eddie and Art Barr lost their hair that night when they lost a match to El Hijo del Santo & Octagon. After that, he was signed by ECW where he competed in many classic matches against Dean Malenko. He would leave ECW at around the same time as both Malenko and Chris Benoit in the summer of 1995.

WCW:
He won his first belt in WCW at Starrcade 96 when he beat Dallas Page. In 1997, he feuded with Rey Mysterio over the Cruiserweight Title. Their match at Halloween Havoc was voted the match of the year by the fans of WCW. He missed the first half of 1999 when he was involved in a car accident. His four years in WCW also saw him as part of The Filthy Animals and Latino World Order.

The Radicalz:
In January 2000, Eddie left WCW with Malenko, Benoit, and Perry Saturn and they formed a group called the Radicalz. In his first WWE match, he suffered an arm injury and missed several months. He then worked an angle where he was in love with Chyna. He was caught cheating on her and they had a feud. In 2001, his personal problems forced him to leave the WWF for a while. When he returned, he was quickly arrested for a DUI and was released.

His Most Difficult Battle:
Unfortunately, any discussion of Eddie will have to involve his drug and alcohol usage. His problems were responsible for the car accident he was involved in while in WCW and his release from the WWE. It appeared that he had won his battle with drugs. This battle was the focal point of both his autobiography and DVD entitled Cheating Death and Stealing Life . The documentary part of the DVD was broadcast on UPN.

The Triumphant Return:
Eddie returned to the WWE in April 2002. On February 5, 2004, Eddie reached the top of the mountain when he beat Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship. WrestleMania XX ended with Guerrero as the WWE Champion and his friend Chris Benoit as the World Heavyweight Championship celebrating in the ring together. Guerrero lost the belt a few months later. He would go on to win the tag team titles with Rey Mysterio only to turn on him and fight over the custody of Rey's son Dominick.

A Very Sad Ending:
After his feud with Rey, he would go on to team up with the World Heavyweight Champion Batista. He was trying to convince the fans he had changed his way. On November 13, 2005, he was scheduled to fight Batista and Randy Orton at a TV taping for the World Heavyweight Championship. Instead, he was found dead in his hotel room. Earlier in the week, he celebrated his fourth anniversary of sobriety. He died of coronary heart disease.
